Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we and our affiliated persons (also “we”, “our”, “Provider”) with all subsidiaries collect, store, use, disclose, distribute, and transfer your information.
We provide the following services for use in conjunction with various products (“Products”) that may be connected to our services via: (1) the VIAsecurity website, which can be accessed at Viasecurity.ua (“Website”); (2) software applications that can be downloaded to a mobile device under the name VIAsecurity (“Mobile Applications”); and (3) any services available on the Website and in the Mobile Applications (“Available Services”). The term “Provider Services” means the Website, Mobile Applications, and Available Services.
To access the Provider Services, you need to register an account on the Website or in the Mobile Applications. For the purpose of providing you with a better experience, improving the Provider Services, or for other reasons, if you have given consent, using such an account without new registration you may access other services provided by us via the Internet and/or mobile applications. You may also from time to time ask us to transfer or export your personal information contained in one service to another service, if such an option is available. Any applicable privacy policy may apply to specific services provided by us, and we recommend that you review this Privacy Policy and any specific policy of interest to you before using such services. We are committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of your personal information in compliance with applicable law, and we also commit to ensuring that these obligations are observed by all our employees and agents.
We may change this Privacy Policy at any time if certain provisions are incomplete or outdated, provided that such changes are acceptable to you and take your interests into account. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you at the email address specified in your account or by means of a notice on the Website or in the Mobile Applications of any such changes.
By using the Provider Services and Products or taking other actions permitted by applicable law, you are deemed to have read, acknowledged, and accepted all provisions set forth in this Privacy Policy, including any changes we may make from time to time. For the purpose of complying with applicable law, including local data protection laws (for example, the General Data Protection Regulation in the European Union), we will specifically request prior explicit consent for specific processing (for example, providing you with marketing materials) of personal information. In addition, we are committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of your personal information in compliance with applicable law, and we also commit to ensuring that these obligations are observed by all our employees and agents.

1. Definitions
Personal information has the same meaning as “personal data” and includes any information relating to an identified natural person or a person who can be identified (“data subject”); a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity. Examples of personal information include your name, phone number, email address, physical address, and payment information.
Personal data also includes information that by itself cannot directly identify you, but together with other information to which we have access may identify you, such as product serial numbers, log data that automatically records information about your visit, such as your browser type, domains, page views, the URL of the page you came from, the URL of the page you visit next, your IP address and page navigation, a unique device identifier collected from Products and your mobile devices, cookie data, pixel tags and web beacons, country and time zone of the connected Product, geographic location, mobile operator identifier, as well as device software and firmware data.
Alarm Receiving Center – an operations center for providing alarm services, such as alarm notification services about abnormal equipment events that receive alarm signals.
Third-party services – services provided to users by any third-party service providers, including, without limitation, the Alarm Receiving Center, from which third-party service providers may, with user permission granted via the Provider Services, or without such permission (but must separately agree with users on the provision of such services if permission via the Provider Services is not required), provide remote monitoring services, including: i) alarm signaling of abnormal events on receiving equipment; ii) obtaining information about device parameters, as well as arming and disarming the device; iii) video preview, video playback, image capture, camera control, scheduled video download, etc.
2. Types of personal data we process and why we collect them
In order to provide you with the Provider Services, as a controller or processor, we collect and process your Personal Information. We will ask you to provide Personal Data necessary to provide these services to you, and we process Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to us. If you do not provide your Personal Data, we will not be able to provide you with the Provider Services together with the Products. We may also collect Personal Data from publicly available or non-public sources, such as Google, where you use your Google account to register a VIAsecurity account.
The following provides more detailed information about the types of Personal Data we collect when you use the Provider Services together with the Products:
§ When you create your account to use the Provider Services (“Account”), we collect information including your region, name, phone number or email address, and the password you set for the Account.
§ When you add, install, activate, and manage Products, we collect certain basic information via the Provider Services, such as your product name, product verification code, serial number, and IP addresses that are unique to the Product connected to the Provider Services and associated with your Account.
§ When you grant access to any Products and certain permissions to other users via the Services so that they may access or manage such Products, we will collect information that allows you to share your Products, such as the email address of the user to whom you choose to grant access to your Products.
§ When you contact us for customer service or use other customer support tools, we collect your information to provide you with support, verify your identity using your account profile data, and verify your Product.
§ When you access the Provider Services, we collect information about how you use the Products and Provider Services, including the types of content you view or interact with, features you use, actions you take, and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities, to provide you with a more relevant experience, improve the Provider Services, prevent abuse, and ensure proper operation of the Provider Services. We may also log changes you make to Products via the Provider Services. We store this information together with data collected directly by your Product. If you have questions about security and privacy settings on your mobile device, please refer to the instructions provided by your mobile service provider or device manufacturer to learn how to adjust your settings.
§ When you use the call feature, we collect relevant information about call records (i.e., call time and captured images of calling persons) generated during use of this feature, and such information will be stored by us for ninety (90) days with restricted access under strict control mechanisms to prevent any unauthorized access.
§ We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Provider Services. This includes information such as browser, device name, network type, operator you use, device model, system version, language, and time zone of your device.
§ When you use the Provider Services for video preview or playback, we only transmit it and do not store it.
§ When you use the Provider Services to view alert records and receive images or videos as alert information, we process information from your Products to send you notifications when events are detected. However, we will retain such information only for seven (7) days to enable this feature.
§ When you store video clips on your own SD card, hard drives, etc. on your devices, you may use our playback function to view videos, in which case we only transmit your information and do not store it.
§ When you use third-party services, generally the relevant third-party service providers collect and process your personal data to provide services only after obtaining your permission to grant permissions or consent offline; in particular, certain permissions managed via the Provider Services, such as permission to configure products and permission to share products, may by default be reserved by such third-party service providers to the extent necessary in a specific service scenario. You, as a data subject, are advised to review the detailed implications of authorization or reservation of permissions listed in the Authorization Statement, and you should separately agree with third-party service providers on relevant data protection obligations.

§ When using the Mobile Applications, we may need to obtain additional permissions from your mobile device, for example, camera access is required to scan a QR code; when you set the “Internet” parameter to connect WIFI, permission to access your location is required; when you make an emergency call via the Provider Services and want to share your location, permission to access your location is also required.
§ Other personal information you provide to us.
3. How we use your personal data
We process your Personal Data as a controller: (1) to provide the Provider Services described in the Terms of Service; (2) to pursue our legitimate interests in managing the Provider Services and business; and (3) with your consent. In some cases, we may process your information to comply with applicable law, legal process, or regulations, for example, to fulfill legal obligations, a court order, an official request, or other binding decision(s), such as to transfer data to law enforcement or tax authorities; to protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; or to perform a task carried out in the public interest.
(1) Examples of our processing of your personal information to provide you with the Provider Services include
a. Provision, processing, support, improvement, and development of the Provider Services.
b. Personalization of your experience with the Provider Services on the Products.
c. Providing support and responding to your requests and inquiries.
d. Communicating with you regarding the Provider Services, your Products, or resolving general issues such as updates and customer support.
f. Sending you reminders, technical notices, updates, alerts, support messages, administrative messages, service bulletins, and requested information.
(2) Examples of our processing of your information to ensure our legitimate interests in managing the Provider Services and business include the following:
a. Fraud prevention and detection.
b. Enhancing the security of the Provider Services – for example, for user authentication, security protection, fraud detection, storage, and backup.
c. Analysis and development of statistical information about the use of the Provider Services to better improve the Provider Services.
d. Improving other information we have about you to help us better understand you and identify your interests.
e. Protecting our rights or property, ensuring compliance with our Terms of Service and legal notices, and establishing, exercising, and defending legal claims.
f. Managing our day-to-day business needs, such as auditing, administration of the Provider Services, forum management, execution, analytics, fraud prevention, and ensuring compliance with our corporate reporting obligations and Terms of Service.
(3) Examples of processing your Personal Data with your consent include
a. Contacting you to inform you about our Available Services in conjunction with the Products, as well as other promotions that we believe may be of interest to you, unless you inform us that you do not wish to receive marketing or market research communications from us, or unless you have not provided us with your consent in accordance with applicable data protection law.
b. Receiving feedback from you or responses to our surveys in order to improve our Services and develop new features.
4. Cookies and other technologies
We also use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to keep records, store your preferences, improve our advertising, and collect information such as log data and device data. This allows us to better understand how you use the Provider Services together with the Products, diagnose and resolve any issues, and otherwise administer and improve the Provider Services. We may also engage one or more third-party service providers to serve online advertising on our behalf via the Provider Services. They may use pixel tags or other similar technologies to collect information about your visits to websites and may use such information to target advertising for your Products and Provider Services.
5. Personal data processed on your behalf as a processor
If personal data of third parties (“Third-party Data”) is collected and processed via Products purchased by you, we will process such Third-party Data as a processor on your behalf.
In particular, when you use recording or streaming features of a Product, we record and process video and/or audio content from the Product that includes Third-party Data. This includes capturing and sending you portions of Third-party Data as part of a notification or analyzing Third-party Data to detect motion or other events. We process Third-party Data from your Product to send you event notifications and provide emergency call services. In addition, if you have recording features enabled, we will record, process, and store video and audio recordings from your Product for the duration of your recording subscription.
6. How we share your information
We do not sell any personal information to third parties. We may share Personal Information with third parties based on non-disclosure agreements. By this you agree that we may disclose your personal information to these third parties:
§ We share your personal information with our affiliates who are required to use this information in accordance with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
§ We engage service providers, vendors, technical specialists, and other third parties who help us process, store, and protect some of your data, as well as otherwise help us efficiently administer the Provider Services, deliver a better user experience, and improve the quality of the Provider Services. These third parties are prohibited from using your Personal Data for purposes beyond the scope of this Privacy Policy and are required to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We may provide information to third parties if we in good faith believe we are required to do so under applicable law. For example, to comply with lawful orders and government requests; to respond to a subpoena or similar legal process, including but not limited to law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and courts; to protect the interests of our Provider Service users; to respond to claims that any content posted or displayed via the Provider Service infringes the rights of third parties; in emergency situations to protect the health and safety of Provider Service users or the general public; or to enforce our Terms of Service.
If all or part of our assets are ever sold or transferred, your personal information may be among the transferred assets. Under such circumstances, we will notify you via the email address or phone number specified in your account, or by means of a notice on the website, of (i) the identity and contact information of the purchaser or recipient, (ii) your right to withdraw your consent to the provision of Personal Data, and (iii) the methods by which you may withdraw such consent.
We share information to protect our legitimate business interests when we in good faith believe we are required or permitted by law to do so. For example, we may share your Personal Information as necessary to support auditing functions, compliance with law, and corporate governance; to combat fraud or criminal activity; to protect our rights or the rights of our affiliates and individual users; or as part of legal proceedings involving us.
We may also disclose non-personal information (for example, aggregated or anonymized data) publicly or with third parties, provided such data has been anonymized so that the data subject can no longer be identified. For example, we may share non-personal information:
- for the same reasons we may share Personal Information;
- to better understand how users interact with the Provider Services in order to optimize your experience and deliver better services;
- for our own research and data analysis; or
- with our suppliers for their own analysis and research.
7. Protection of your personal data
We have implemented commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security controls designed to protect personal data. We also conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the effectiveness of our security controls.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your personal data is absolutely secure using existing security technologies. However, we will respond to personal data breaches in accordance with applicable data protection law, which includes, where required, notifying the relevant data protection supervisory authority and data subjects.

8. Your rights and retention of your personal data
We generally store your Personal Information on our servers, which are hosted on third-party servers, including Amazon servers, until you delete or edit it, or for as long as you remain a user, in order to provide you with the most relevant offers. Please contact us using the contact information below if you would like additional information about our data retention policy.
The accuracy of your personal data helps us provide you with the most relevant offers. You may access, update, or delete your personal information via your account profile in the “Account Management” module. We are ready to assist you with subscription management, account deactivation, and deletion of active profiles and data. Your personal information may not be deleted immediately, as we are required to retain records relating to previous purchases via the Provider Services for financial reporting and compliance with applicable law. In addition, due to the way we provide certain services, after you delete certain information we may temporarily retain backup copies of such information before it is permanently deleted.
We will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.
9. Social community features and social networks
Social community features
The Provider Services may allow you to publicly post or share information, communicate with others, or otherwise make information available to others. Before doing so, please carefully review our Terms of Service. All information you publish, provide, or transmit may be accessible to anyone with Internet access, and any personal information you provide may be read, collected, and used by others.
Links to other websites
We may allow others to post links to the Provider Services or links to their websites. We do not endorse these websites and are not responsible for other websites or their privacy policies. Please review their privacy policies before providing information.
10. Your choices
We believe you benefit from a more personalized experience when we know more about you and your preferences. However, you may limit the information you provide to us and the communications you receive from us through your account settings.
Commercial emails
You will receive commercial emails from us only if you have given prior explicit consent or if such emails are otherwise permitted under applicable law.
You may opt out of receiving commercial emails from us by following the instructions contained in any commercial email we send or by logging into your Account and adjusting your email settings. Please note that even if you unsubscribe from commercial emails, we may still send you non-commercial emails related to your Account and your transactions with the Provider Services.
Device data
You may control how your mobile device and mobile browser share certain device data with us by adjusting the privacy and security settings on your mobile device. Please refer to the instructions provided by your mobile service provider or device manufacturer to learn how to adjust your settings.
11. Children’s privacy
We do not intend to provide access to any part of the Provider Services to or use them by children under the age of 18 or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, and such use is prohibited. The Provider Services are designed and intended for adults. By using the Provider Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have reached the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, and you understand that you must be at least 18 years old or have reached the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction to create an account and purchase goods or services advertised via the Provider Services. If we become aware that an account is associated with a registered user under the age of 18 or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, we will promptly delete the information associated with such account. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18 or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction and believe that they have disclosed Personal Data to us, please contact us by phone or email, providing the relevant provider support information for your country. Parents or guardians of a child under the age of 18 or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction may review and request deletion of such child’s Personal Data and prohibit its use.
12. Global operations and data transfer
We transfer and process your information worldwide both at our own facilities and with service providers or partners, regardless of where you use our services. Because we operate globally, we may transfer your personal information to our affiliates worldwide, processing it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. For example, if you contact us for customer service, our colleagues in Ukraine may access certain of your information (wherever you are located) to provide you with the requested services. We will act in accordance with applicable law. In particular, we ensure that all transfers comply with the requirements of your applicable local data protection law by implementing appropriate safeguards. By this you consent to the transfer of data and have the right to be informed about the relevant security measures taken by us for such transfer of your Personal Data.
Currently, we have data processing centers in the USA, Singapore, Brazil, and Ireland. The laws, regulations, and standards of the country in which your information is stored or processed may differ from those of your country. You understand that the risks associated with applicable data protection law differ, and we may transfer and store your personal data in our overseas facilities. However, this does not change our obligations to protect your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
